Hi, It has been 2 weeks since I arrived in Aalborg, time to post some news!
My arrival has been pretty funny so i'm gonna relate it here.
The landlord told me the flat was far from the center of aalborg, and i have to admit I didn't expected that far..
So the aircraft landed around 7:00 P.M. and the sun was already set so it was really dark.
I like when everything is well prepared so i printed my path from the airport to the flat.
The plan was easy: i take the bus, wait 5 stops, take another bus, wait 10 more stops and walk to the flat? but i didn't made a plan in case i would miss one of the bus, so a 25 minutes trail transformed into a 1h30 one...
Once I finally found the good bus stop I had a 5 minutes walk to get to the flat.. guess what? I LOST MYSELF AGAIN! After walking during 20 minutes in the rain and the wind by night I finally found someone who told me i was going in the wrong way.. So that was it, i was in front of the appartment, I finaly made it alive, at 9:00 pm.
But wait, that's not the end of our story, no, no, because when I knocked on the door no one answered, My landlord gave me her number before I left france but I called her 3 times without any answer, I had flown 2000km for nothing, 2000km to get stuck in front of the finish line, 2000km to be a homeless french student in aalborg? No. I was done. Even if no one answered my knock nor my calls, I entered the flat.
At first i didn't noticed but Someone was in the appartment, i could barely ear some chair sounds behind the door of one of the rooms So i knocked to make sure i was at the good adress and make sure they were expecting me. A dude show up, almost naked:
Me : "hi, is it the good adress? Is it the good flat?"
Naked dude: "Oh you're the french guy, yes this is the good adress"
And he closed his door. I pluged my phone charger and waited for my phone to recharge, 20 minutes later the dude show up with pants and t-shirt and tell me he is not in charge of the keys, there is someone else who will arrive soon to open my room. Thanks god, i'm not so homeless.
10:00 P.M. Someone enter the flat, another roomate this one look way more normal than the 1st one, we talk a bit about how the flat is managed, the house rules, etc. He isn't in charge of the keys either but he know well the 3rd roomate and tell me he can find my keys in his room. The last dude show up around 11:00 P.M. and give me the internet password so i can finaly ease my parents.
Home, sweet home, i'm finally in my room, fully operational.
What a day...
